Last week we learned about the turkey and letter Tt. We created art inspired by turkeys and learned many facts about the famous Thanksgiving bird. We also began practicing for our Christmas program which is on Friday, December 9th.
This week, we will enjoy many exciting Thanksgiving festivities as a class and with our school. We will make pinecone turkeys to decorate our Thanksgiving table with and count turkeys while singing “10 Little Turkeys.” We will read many stories about the historical first Thanksgiving day and share stories of our own Thanksgiving traditions. God has blessed us all so much. We have been discussing all that we are thankful to God for this Thanksgiving. We sing praise to the Lord with the songs, “Praise Him, Praise Him” and “If You’re Thankful And You Know It.”
On Tuesday, we will make a simple dessert for after our Thanksgiving feast. Wednesday is our school feast! All nursery students are invited to attend for the special occasion. After the feast, we will work off all the extra Thanksgiving calories in a turkey trot around the school. Afterwards, we will return to class and enjoy the dessert we made along with a special holiday movie. Trinity will be closed for Thanksgiving break on Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25th. Please enjoy a happy and healthy Thanksgiving with your families!!
