Last week, we lit the second candle of Advent which represents the gift of Peace that Christ’s birth at Christmas gives us. We reflected on the calm and serenity of that holy night that Christ was born. This week, we light the third candle of Advent, the pink candle, which symbolizes Joy. We reflect on the Joy that Christmas gifts to us. The joy that we feel when we gather together to celebrate the Christmas season.
We will celebrate the Joy of Christmas this week through a variety of fun holiday themed activities including Christmas dancing to music, Christmas cards and salt dough ornament making, reading holiday stories and counting pom poms on Christmas tree math mats. We will also build our tallest towers using gum drops and toothpicks. It should be a joyful week of holiday experiences.

Tuesday, December 20th is Christmas sweater day! Wear your best Christmas sweater and get ready to party a little.
