Spring has finally sprung and the earth is in full bloom!  God calls us to be good stewards of the Earth.  Our Bible lesson this week is, “God gives us a place to live.”  This Saturday, April 22nd, is Earth Day and this week we will celebrate our Earth and learn about ways we can take care of our world.  Earth begins with Ee!  We will discover letter Ee.  We will explore dirt and make edible dirt cups to enjoy at snack.  We will learn more about planting trees and keeping our Earth clean.  We will sort, count and recycle in class and learn more about how our community works together to recycle garbage for a cleaner earth.  Art projects this week will include Earth Pointillism Paintings, Upcycled Easter Egg Shakers, Garden Rock Painting and Mud Fingerpaintings.

This week our exciting learning play centers will include a Dirt and Nature Sensory Bin, growing plants, counting rocks and wooden blocks in STEM, letter E and Earth Day books in the Literacy Center and the Dinosaur Dig in the Dramatic Play Area.  It should be an exciting week learning about our Earth!
