Happy November!
This week we start a new unit in literacy about Community. We will read Lola at the Library, Knuffle Bunny, and A Good Night Walk. We will make a fun community book, and map to the library. Our new vocabulary will be building, community, firehouse, hospital, library, and park. We will also watch an animated version of Knuffle Bunny on the Smart Board.
Our letter this week is Gg. We will learn a Gg song and read “Goofy Ghost”. We will make a G is for Green and Gold Glitter craft.
Our seasonal lessons this week will focus on the beautiful fall leaves. We will read I am a Leaf, Going on a Leaf Hunt, Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf, and Yellow Time. We will go on a leaf hunt and find some different color leaves to sort and examine. Our sensory table will have leaves and beans for sorting.
During Jesus time we will learn about Joshua and Jericho, as we thank God for our cities. We will learn 2 new thankful songs, and we already began learning a new thankful prayer for this month.
For Election Day on Tuesday we will vote for our favorite snack.
