I hope everyone enjoyed the unseasonably warm weather we had this weekend. Hard to believe it is the second week in November!
This week we start a new Theme “Our Community”, and we will start with the topic “Places We Go”. Our vocabulary words will be: building, community, firehouse, hospital, library, and park. We will read Lola at the Library, Knuffle Bunny, and A Good Night Walk. We will make a map of different buildings we might see if we took a walk to the library.
For math we will review number 9 and the color pink. We will use directional words to talk about “How to Get There”.
Our letter for the week is Gg. We will read “Goofy Ghost” and learn a Gg song. We will practice writing the letter G and make a Green G with Gold Glitter.
For Jesus time we will learn about Moses.
On Tuesday we will learn about why we celebrate Veterans Day with our Weekly Reader.
We will read some seasonal stories about leaves including Going on a Leaf Hunt, Red Leaf Yellow Leaf, and I am a Leaf. We will also read a Weekly Reader about leaves.
