It is certainly starting to feel like Fall outside! Last week was all things yellow with sunflowers and school buses. We also learned about transportation and raced cars down ramps in our STEM lesson.
This week we move on to the color green, triangle, and we will learn about frogs. We will read Go Away Big Green Monster, Green Eggs and Ham, Fantastic Frogs, The Wide Mouthed Bullfrog, and Five Green and Speckled Frogs. We will all work together to paint a big pond and then make lily pads and frogs to add to the pond. Our sensory table will be transformed into a pond with frogs, and logs, and stones and we will have green, peppermint scented play dough to play with.
For Jesus time this week we will continue to learn the Christian Pledge, the song Jesus Loves Me, the Johnny Appleseed prayer, and we will also visit chapel on Wednesday to see Johnny Appleseed.
Our STEM lesson this week will be learning about how far frogs jump and seeing if we can jump as far as a frog!
On Friday we will wear green and could someone please send in green grapes cut in half lengthwise for snack. Thank you in advance!
