Welcome to October! I am so grateful for a healthy September! Nothing compares to being in the classroom with the children and teaching them face to face, well, mask to mask.
This week is the fourth week in our theme “Ready for School”, and the topic is “Getting Along”. We will read 2 versions of the Little Red Hen and then compare them using a Venn Diagram. We will also read How Many Can Play? Our new vocabulary words are: cooperate, share, turns.
Math this week focuses on more, less, and same. We will also review #4, triangle, and the color blue.
Our letter of the week is Bb. We will read “BB Bunny”, and learn a silly B song. We will practice writing the letter B and we will make a B is for Bandaids project.
For Jesus time we will finish up our Creation unit.
October starts our units on farm animals and pumpkins. We typically go to Green Meadow Farms in October, but are unable to this year due to Covid. We will still do some fun animal projects, and carve a pumpkin with our 5 senses later this month. We will also start using some farm animal toys and manipulatives.
