Happy October! The first month of school has certainly flown by. Everyone has settled in nicely and is doing a great job learning the rules for school. Reminder that if at any time you would like to extend your child’s days to more days per week, or a full day, please let us know as those options are available in our class.

This week we start the formal introduction of the alphabet. We will be learning one letter per week, starting with the letter A this week. We will talk about things that begin with the letter A, and we will make an A is for Alligator craft.

Our theme for this week is owls. We will read Little Owl’s Night, Owl Moon, and have an Owl weekly reader. We will also make a brown owl craft to decorate our October classroom door.

Our color for this week is brown and our shape is rectangle.

For Jesus time we will begin a several week unit on Creation. This week will learn the first 2 days. We are also practicing the Christian pledge every day, and learning the Jesus Loves Me song. We will also learn a new snack time prayer for October: God is great, God is good, and we thank Him for our food. Amen.

Reminder that Monday is picture day so dress your best and wear your smile to school.

Have a blessed week everyone!
