Welcome to week 5! This week we start a new Theme in our Big Day curriculum, “My Family”. The topic for week one is “Who is in my family?” Our new vocabulary is: brother, father, mother, sister, grandfather, grandmother. We will read Bear’s Busy Family, Herman the Helper, and Daddy Calls Me Man.
In math we will continue to review shapes, and focus on #5, orange, and oval.
Our letter of the week is Cc. We will read “Curly Caterpillar”, and sing a silly Cc song. We will practice writing the letter Cc and focus on words that start with the letter Cc. We will also make a Cc is for cow project.
Religion this week will focus on Abraham. We will also read the story P is for Pumpkin – God’s Harvest Alphabet.
We will paint yellow and red at the easel to make orange and then use that paper to make a Spookly the Square Pumpkin project after we read the book.
Wednesday we have gym at 12:30 with Mrs. Dicandia and Thursday we have art at 11:00 with Mrs. Kerwin.
