Welcome to Thanksgiving week. Only 3 days of school this week, but still plenty to do!

Last week we had so many wonderful community workers come to visit and tell us about their jobs. Thank you to everyone who volunteered.

This week we will cover topic 3 in our community unit “Things that move”. We will read I’m Your Bus, Dig, Dig, Digging, and Carlo Likes Counting. Our vocabulary words are: driver, passengers, safety, traffic, transportation, travel, and vehicle.

For math this week we will review patterns.

Jesus time this week will be about the story of David and Jonathan. This story will remind us to thank God for our friends. We will also visit chapel on Wednesday, and we are working hard to learn our Christmas songs for our show.

For science this week we will learn about corn. We will place a dried corn cob in water and watch it sprout over time. We will also place a dried corn cob in the microwave and watch it make popcorn!

This week we will also read a Weekly Reader about Thanksgiving and traditions.

The best part of our week will be the school-wide Thanksgiving Feast on Wednesday!

Have a wonderful, blessed Thanksgiving everyone!
