Only one more week until Thanksgiving! How is that even possible? Please remember to send in your donations for the National Junior Honor Society food drive and help out the less fortunate as we remember to be thankful for all that we are blessed with this time of year.

Our Big Day theme for this week is “The People We Meet”. I’m going old school and I’m going to show them the People in Your Neighborhood song from Sesame Street! We will also read the books: Jobs, Dot the Firedog, and ABC Drive. Our new vocabulary will be: doctor, firefighter, mail carrier, police officer, and work. We are also going to be coloring people and places to make a map of a community.

Hh is our letter of the week and we will be reading “Happy Hippo” and learning and H song about the hiccups! We will make an H is for House craft as well.

For Jesus time this week we will be learning about Samuel and his story will remind us to be thankful for school. We will also have chapel on Wednesday. Before you know it Christmas will be here so we will also be practicing our Christmas songs for our Christmas program. As a reminder, our program is Thursday December 9th at 9:30am in the chapel.

For math this week we will complete the 10 frame by learning number 10. We will also be talking about distance and “Which way is shorter?” We will learn the words: closer, farther, and distance and complete some small group activities for reinforcement.

Our seasonal topics this week will include crows and scarecrows. We will read: Yellowtime, The Scarecrow’s Hat, and The Lonely Scarecrow. We will also make a crow craft and a scarecrow craft.

Have a wonderful, blessed week everyone!
