Happy June everyone! I cannot believe there are only 2 1/2 weeks left of the school year! How did that happen??
This week we will finish up our Big Day curriculum with the topic “We’re Big Now”. Our vocabulary words will be: kindergarten, practice, proud, and success. We will read Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready for Kindergarten, If You Take A Mouse to School, and My New School.
For math we will talk about weighing things and will use a balance scale and the vocabulary: heavy, heavier, light, lighter, and weight. We will also continue to review our numbers both in recognition and rote counting.
Our sight words this week will be: “see” and “you”.
We will continue talking about sea creatures this week with a Weekly Reader about sharks, a shark craft, and some fun shark worksheets.
This week is also our fun theme week. On Tuesday we will have Luau Day, Wednesday is Book Character Day, Thursday is PJs around the campfire, and Friday is our Sports Fun Day!
This week we will also have Spanish and Gym on Wednesday and Art on Thursday.
We will also be visiting the chapel to practice our closing program.
