Our theme for this week in our Big Day Growing up Healthy unit is “Eating Well”. We will read The Beastly Feast, and How Does Your Salad Grow? Our vocabulary words are: fruit, grains, health, nutritious, protein, and vegetables. We will also look at a science poster about staying healthy.
Our letter for this week is Uu. We will read “Ugboo”, learn a Uu song, and make a U is for Underground project.
This week we will start reviewing numbers 1-20 and our math concept will be “What do you like best?” Along with our eating well theme we will be sampling different fruits and veggies and the graphing which ones we like best.
For Jesus time we will learn of the miracle of Jesus healing a blind man. We will also continue learning the Lord’s prayer as well as practicing our songs for Special Person’s Day.
Sunday is the first day of Spring so we will be talking about the change of seasons and go for a walk to explore and see if we can find any signs of Spring.
