Happy second week of January! This week we will continue learning about all things cold! We will begin a unit on arctic animals and will have ice and arctic animals in the sensory table to explore.

Our letter for this week is M. We will learn words that start with the letter M and we will make an M is for Moose project. M is also for mitten and we will read The Mitten by Jan Brett this week and talk about all of the different animals in the story. Our afternoon friends will make a name mitten project.

This week we will also focus on the number 2. We continue to practice counting with the calendar.

For Jesus time this week we will learn about Jesus as a little boy.

We will also learn about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr this week and make a project to remind us that Dr. King taught us to love each other and be kind to each other no matter how anyone looks.

On Monday we have library and on Wednesday we have gym class. We will also be learning to ride tricycles in the gym so please make sure your child’s helmet is at school. They cannot ride without one.

Reminders:

No School Monday January 15th for Dr. King’s birthday.

Parent/teacher conferences will be held Friday January 19th.

Have a beautiful, blessed week everyone!
