Thank you everyone who attended the parent/teacher conferences on Friday. I was so happy to be able to sit and talk with everyone.
This week we will begin a new unit in our Big Day curriculum called Imagine it, Make it. We will read Not a Box, The Shape of Things, 10 Black Dots, and Feast for 10. Our vocabulary will be: create, imagination, and pretend. We will make a Not a Box craft using our imagination.
In math this week we will learn #15 and we will review 10 frames by asking “How many?”
For Jesus time this week we will learn about Jesus choosing 12 disciples. We will learn a new song: Follow Me and we will visit chapel on Wednesday.
Thursday is Groundhog Day so we will learn about Groundhogs and make predictions if we think he will see his shadow.
Wednesday is the beginning of February and the beginning of Black History Month. Each week we will learn about different people in African American history, beginning with Rosa Parks and Oprah this week.
We are also creating handprint cardinals for our community wall, and kindness hearts for the wall upstairs.
Hope everyone has a wonderful, blessed week.
