I hope everyone had an enjoyable, restful week off and is ready for the 6 1/2 week long haul until Easter break. That being said, I cannot believe it is already March this week! Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we will be spending more time outside enjoying the fresh air.
This week is Read Across America in celebration of Dr. Seuss’ birthday on March 2nd. Each day we will celebrate one of his books by reading the book, special crafts, and special dress up days.
In our Big Day curriculum we are up to the 4th week in our “Imagine it, Make it” unit, with the topic being “Art All Around Us”. We will read Too Loud Lily, and Dots Dots Dots at the Museum. Our vocabulary will be: art, artwork, dance, and music.
Our math topic this week will be “Which is smaller, which is bigger?”, and we will learn #18.
For Jesus time this week we will be learning about Ash Wednesday on some of Jesus’ miracles including stopping a storm and feeding the 5,000.
On Friday we will have a presentation about Black History Month as a culmination to all that we have learned in February.
Everyone have a wonderful, blessed week.
