I hope everyone enjoyed their February break. Buckle your seatbelts because we have a busy week ahead! This week is Read Across America in celebration of Dr. Suess’s birthday on March 2. We will have different themes each day based on one of his beloved books.
This week will also be the last week of our Imagine it, Make it theme, with the topic Art all Around us. We will read Too Loud Lily, White Rabbit’s Color Book, and Dots! Dots! Dots! At the Museum. Our vocabulary will be: appreciate, art, artwork, artist, dance, design, music, and sculpture.
For math we will be learning the number 18, and we will practice comparison using the words bigger and smaller.
Our letter this week is Ss. We will practice writing the letter S, create a list of Ss words, and have Ss show and tell on Friday. I am so excited to create the list this week as I know there are so many Ss words in the English language. Our record number of words is 101! Can we beat it this week? Stay tuned to Class Dojo to find out!
For Jesus time this week we will begin learning about Jesus’ miracles. We will hear about Jesus stopping a storm. We have also been learning some new songs including “Love in a Box”.
Here is a breakdown of everything for this week:
Monday: One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish – wear red and/or blue – story and graphing activity. Computer class.
