Next week is Winter break, but today certainly felt like we should be ready for Spring break! I hope everyone was able to get out and enjoy the beautiful day!
This week our Big Day theme is “Things we build”. Our centers will have lots of different building materials this week including wooden blocks, Legos, Magnatiles, and Lincoln Logs for next week being president’s week. I will also be printing out some pictures of different structures from around the world for the children to learn about and try to build. We will read The Three Little Pigs, White Rabbit’s Color Book, and Buildings.
Our letter for this week is Qq. We will read “Quacky Quacker” and make a Q is for Quilt craft.
For math we will be learning number 17, practicing patterns, and building with blocks.
Jesus time this week will be “Jesus Blesses the Children”. We will talk all about love this week and how much Jesus loves us. We are also practicing our song Follow Me.
This week we will continue with Black History Month learning about George Washington Carver. We will also learn this week about Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. We will also make presidential silhouettes of ourselves.
