Welcome back! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter break and a blessed Easter. Only 8 more weeks until Summer break! This school year has flown by, but there is still lots to learn!

This week we start a new Big Day unit called Nature All Around Us. Our theme for this week is “How do plants grow?”. We have certainly had the perfect weather to see God’s creations blooming all around us. We will also be planting our own seeds and seeing how different plants grow. We will read: Growing Vegetable Soup, What the Sun Sees/What the Moon Sees, Counting in the Garden, and How Does Your Salad Grow? Our vocabulary will be: flower, petals, plant, roots, seeds, tree, vine.

For math this week we will continue to practice simple addition. We will also begin learning how to count by 10s.

For Jesus time we will learn the story of Peter and the crippled man and we will begin to learn some new songs for our end of year program.

Our letter for this week is Yy. We will practice writing the letter Y, make a list of Yy words, and have show and tell this Thursday since we are not in school on Friday.

Friday is our trip to the Aquarium. Please see the post on Class Dojo for all of the information.

Have an amazing week!
