This week we finished covering our internet safety lessons. I feel that talking with the students about keeping themselves safe on the internet is a very big deal. One part that I really stress to the middle school is that they talk to their parents or guardians about what they do online. With so many social media sites available its important that they keep everyone informed and ask permissions before creating new accounts.
This week in Kindergarten we begin using the keyboard and finding out where all of the letters can be found. In First grade we will continue reviewing how the computers work and begin learning how to navigate a web browser. Second Third and Fourth Graders will be learning how to navigate “Brain Pop” a fun and educational website designed for kids. Fifth Grade and the Middle School will continue working on their Adobe Photoshop projects. We began by swapping out objects in a picture, for another object. Some of these can be seen below.
