Hello, everyone! I hope everyone had a restful weekend, and that you are all ready to face the week ahead.
8th Social Studies
Today (Monday), eighth grade is taking their test on the Progressive Era. So, tomorrow we will begin Chapter 20, which addresses the topic of America’s growing global influence. We will start off by studying the U.S.’s involvement in the Pacific, especially focusing on how we attained our 49th and 50th states, Alaska and Hawaii.
7th Social Studies
Seventh grade is also taking their end of the chapter test today. We will continue tomorrow with studying the Declaration of Independence, and then we will continue our study of the American Revolution.
8AA Religion
We will continue our study of the conquest of the Promised Land, as written in the book of Joshua. The memory verse for this week is 1Peter 5:6-7, which may be found on page 51 of the student book.
Announcements
Today marks the start of the third quarter. The students who were not in Band or Chorus will be signing up for new Electives which will begin on Thursday.
