This Week in Art
ECC Classes ~ we will glue the sheep’s body together and add cotton balls to make it feel just like the soft wool all over its body.
Kindergarten ~ will review “Line Families,” 2-dimensional shapes and create a picture using their shapes.
Gr. 1 ~ this class will finish up their Hot Air Balloon Collages.
Gr. 2 ~ our Second graders will learn about photography as an occupation and will create a Fall photo frame.
Gr. 3 ~ this class will think about the art of Joan Miro, especially “Woman with Three Hairs with Birds Flying.” They will be creating Miro Mask Creatures with markers and crayons. Don’t be alarmed if your Third grader comes home chanting this rhyme…”I looked in the Mi-ro and what did I see, lots of funky creatures they were looking’ at me!”
Gr. 4 ~ will be learning about the art element SPACE as they create Construction Paper Collages.
Gr. 5 ~ Fifth graders will be thinking creatively as they create characters out of a Candy Corn Template using assorted assemblage materials.
Gr. 6 ~ this class will create a scene visualizing perspective and foreshortening by drawing a figure of a person falling from something.
Gr. 7 ~ will be using watercolor to create a Sunset Silhouette Scene.
Gr. 8 ~ our Eighth graders will analyze the artwork “Scream” by Norwegian artist E. Munsh and draw a picture focusing on a fear or phobia of something or someone.
