This Week in the Art Room:

Ms. T”s PreK class will color their Coffee Filter Turkeys this week and the Kindergarten class will finish up their unit on Self-Portraits.  Our First Grade class will learn how to effectively use watercolors when they paint their “Areas of White” drawings.  The Second Grade will look at different artists’ work on a wide range of occupations.  They will learn how to be a “detective” in looking for clues that help us figure out what occupation/career the artist is trying to portray in the artwork.

Both Third and Fourth Grade classes will continue to work on their Thankful Turkey Box Centerpieces.  Fifth Grade will finish up the outstanding work they are doing on their Values of Gray chalk pastel drawings.  Sixth Grade will add the final few dots of paint to their pointillism paintings.  I’m so proud of their art analysis and color blending skills!

The Seventh Grade class will finish up their Split Face Self-Portraits this week.  Eighth Grade will continue work on their Fingerprint Frenzy drawings.  Our group in Art Elective will work on their Christmas Sled Ornament project.

Keep Creating and Enjoy Your Week!
