This Week in Art
There’s a feeling of Winter in the air and in the halls at Trinity! Our PreK classes are making a Wintry Collage based on the book A Snowy Day by E. J. Keats. Kindergarten will be sharpening their fine motor skills as they color, cut and paste a Snowman Collage. First Graders will be adding Iridescent glitter to their Snowmen at Night drawings. The students in the Third Grade will be adding the finishing touches to their Winter Birch Tree Watercolor Scenes. Fifth Graders will be using chalk pastels to draw a snowman doing an activity. Our Sixth Grade class just finished lovely poinsettia drawings. Seventh Graders will continue to work on their Winter paintings mixing pastel colors for shadows in the snow. The Eighth Grade class just completed and did an amazing job on the Snow Globe drawings.
Other student projects and lessons include Stencil Designs using oil pastels by the Fourth Grade class and Occupations in Art drawings by the Second Grade.Finally, the Art Elective class will be completing their Snowman Sculptures made out of pomegranate juice containers.
