Happy Columbus Day!

This Week in Art

Kindergarten will make a Leaf People Collage using assorted leaves found around the neighborhood. Our First Graders will finish up their Lines & Shapes Collage fashioned after the artwork of Kandinsky.  The Second Grade has been busy drawing a landscape using bold colors and many textured patterns.  They enjoyed viewing a video revealing the work of folk artist Heather Galler and will continue adding color to their drawings this week.  Third Grade was inspired to draw sunflowers after viewing the artwork of Impressionist artist A. Renoir.  Fourth Graders will be using chalk pastels to draw a beautiful sunset picture. Fifth Graders will be adding watercolor to their “Glue Batiks” this week.

The Sixth Grade Class will be working on coloring in their “Falling” drawings. Our Seventh Graders will finish up their Warm-colored Abstract Leaf Designs.  The Eighth Grade Class will continue to work on their “Phobia” drawings using markers and crayons.  This will be the final week of painting our beautiful sunflowers in Art Elective class.  The following week we will start a fall candle craft.

Keep Creating!
