This Week in Art ~
This month many of our projects will include preparing for our Schoolwide Thanksgiving Feast.
Our Preschool ECC classes will start coloring their Coffee Filter Turkeys and grades Two, Four and Six will all assist in making the centerpieces for the feast.
Our First graders will finish up their poppy field scene from the Wizard of OZ, Third Grade will put their finishing touches on their Sunflower Drawings and Fifth Graders will finish painting their faux Batik watercolor project.
Since our next two Thursday Art classes will be cancelled due to Parent/Teacher Conferences and the Thanksgiving recess our Kindergarten, Seventh Grade and Art Elective classes will all get a jump start on their Christmas lessons and projects. Kindergarten will learn how to draw The Nativity, Seventh Grade will match the cut off side of a Christmas card drawing and Art Elective will learn how to make a Christmas Ball decoration from cut and folded Christmas cards. Stay tuned for more Christmas lessons….
Parents/Guardians of Middle Schoolers ~ Please remind your child that he/she is responsible for getting all Drawing Journal assignments completed by the due date. The students have two weeks to complete these drawings and get reminders in their Google Classroom when they are due. It is a matter of taking the Chrome Book, Journal and art materials home, completing the assignment and bringing the Journal into art class by the due date. The Journal assignments count EQUAL to an in class project grade.
Keep Creating and Enjoy Your Week!
