It’s hard to believe that we are about to enter the final marking quarter of this school year.  We have done so much as a class and the students have made personal gains that will help them through the remainder of the school year.

Our new hallway display is up! Through a combination of our Social Studies Chapter and our class read aloud, Meet Addy, we have been learning about slavery and the Civil War time period.  The students created freedom quilts which were used to help slaves escape to freedom.  They also wrote journal entries from the perspective of a person who agreed to hide a slave along the Underground Railroad.  If you’re in the building, take a look!
