This week in our class we will continue to explore the cold temperatures that winter often brings.  We will learn about the science of ice and conduct a science project freezing liquid water into solid ice.  We will then put the frozen water into the sensory table to do some ice painting with. Next week we will celebrate ice by making homemade ice cream to enjoy in an ice cream churning ball.

This week we will discuss the South Pole (where the weather is always cold year round) and learn about it’s penguin inhabitants.  We will read stories and learn a few interesting facts about penguins.  We will also perform the finger play, “Six Little Penguins” and create a penguin art project.

Progress report card testing continues this week.  Please sign up for a parent teacher conference on either Thursday evening or Friday between 9 and 2:45 pm.  There will be no classes this Friday.
