The nursery classes are catching up and finishing their shape unit. We are also getting ready for Valentine’s Day! Mrs. Krass’ class will celebrate the holiday on Thursday, 2/12 and Mrs. Evers’ class will celebrate on Friday, 2/13. Please have your child wear red on those days!
This week we are:
Art Projects: Groundhog project. Please remember to check in a week to see if he sees his shadow. We will also be making shadows in the classroom. In preparation of Valentine’s Day, we are making a valentine mail bag, card and heart necklace.
Language Arts: Gregory’s Shadow by Don Freeman, Shadows by Carolyn B. Otto, The Best Thing about Valentines by Eleanor Hudson and Clifford’s First Valentine’s Day by Norman Bridwell.
Jesus Time: Chapel on Tuesday and Wednesday. Theme for week: Love and Feelings, Jesus is my Valentine.
Math: Match the mittens, count the hearts and our classmates. Snowman connect the dots-1 to 10.
Movement to Music: Pass the heart around and Somebody sent a valentine.
Technology: SMART table and computer lab. Computer lab is for full day students only.
