READING- Lesson 12 explores what animals do when the weather changes. The stories Storm is Coming,  Snow, and How Water  Changes, will help us learn what animals might do. We will also learn the high frequency words, “come” and “my,” initial and final “n” sound, to blend sounds to read new words, to read with expression, to classify and categorize sensory words, and to identify verbs in sentences.

MATH- Our next Math chapter will focus on subtraction.

RELIGION- We will start to hear Bible stories of the Miracles of Jesus, beginning with Jesus changing water into wine.

SCIENCE-Different types of weather is still our area for discussion.

SOCIAL STUDIES- We will discuss the legend of the groundhog and making predictions.

HANDWRITING- Writing Capital and lower case “N-n” is our letter this week.

JOURNAL- We are writing simple narrative sentences using a verb.

REMINDERS

This Friday we are celebrating the 100th day of school. You will be contacted if your help is needed.

Please be sure to help your child decorate his/her feet and return them by Thursday, 2/5.
