I hope you all enjoyed the long weekend! Here’s what we will be doing this week!
Spelling- The new words for this week are: ship, shop, which, when, whip, fish. The children will write their 10 spelling words 3x each for homework by Wednesday. They should write 3 sentences by Thursday. Spelling Test will be on Friday.
Phonics- digraphs wh, ph, sh and word endings
Language Arts- subject/verb
Reading: We will read the story Seasons. The children will read it again at home. The “R” book words that are included on the spelling test are: down, green, open, fall, grow, yellow, goes, new. We will focus on cause/effect. Reading tests will be given on Friday.
Math- Chapter 8- 2 digit addition/ subtraction
Science- Chapter 4- Life Cycles
Religion- Stories about Jesus’ life

Spread the word! Trinity is having an Open House this Saturday from 12-2!
We are near the end of the second quarter. The 3rd quarter begins next Thursday. The first half of the year just flew by. We have so much more learning to do! Please make sure that your child is completing his/her homework neatly each night. The homework should be checked and signed by a parent. Encourage your child to always complete their work in their neatest writing.
Pizza envelopes should be handed in by Thursday!
