Thanks to the students who bought, those students who helped sell, and for Mrs. Mejia who made it possible for us to sell by giving us her time. Great job, fifth grade!!

This week I have been thinking about this verse;

The Lord gave me what I had, and the Lord has taken it away. Praise the name of the Lord! Job 1;21

As the years go by, I find myself thinking about who I am for God, the experiences I have had, and the material things God has given me. I think this verse reminds us that God wants increase for us. Increase in who we are, who we are for Him, increase in our peace and yes, in a certain way, in our earthly belongings. When we go through something and we experience God taking, whatever kind of decrease He has for us, I think it’s important that we remember God truly wants good for us. Sometimes it’s hard to see in the midst of something what goodness will come. I guess that’s where our faith comes into play. I hope to encourage you today, whatever you may be going through. Job was restored with double what he started with. I read this and it made me think: “Every setback is simply a setup for a comeback.”

Have a wonderful celebration of our Savior’s birth!!     Mrs. Lively
