Second Grade Notes
Week of December 8th – 12th
I hope everyone is having a great week. I know this is a busy time of the year for everyone! In the second grade we are working hard on the Christmas Pageant as well as our academics!
Here is what we are working on this week:
Math- Test Chapter 4 Tuesday. We will begin Chapter 5 on Wednesday. Chapter 5 will be a study of Subtraction.
Reading: Our story this week is Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type. We will focus on the strategies of Drawing Conclusions and Infer and Predict. We will also work on our Target Vocabulary.
Phonics/Spelling: The Phonics lesson for the week will focus on Base Words and ending -s and -es. The Spelling words will also follow this rule.
Grammar: The Grammar lessons will focus on Compound Sentences.
Science: We are working through chapter two and will continue our study of animals.
Social Studies: Continuing with Chapter 2 All About Earth we will talk about land forms and weather.

Next Tuesday, December 16th Tests on Click, Clack Moo: Cows That Type.
