Second Grade Notes
Week of November 3rd-7th
I hope everyone is doing well and having a great week!
Here is a look a what we are working on this week:
Math: We are completing Chapter 3. On Wednesday we will review and on Thursday we will have a Chapter 3 Test.
Reading: Our story this week is Super Storms. The children are enjoying the discussions about weather. The story is Informational Text. Our target skills this week are Main Ideas and Details and Cause and Effect. We will also focus on our Target Vocabulary as well as compound words.
Phonics/Spelling: This week we will concentrate on Consonant Digraphs as well as base words and endings. Our Spelling words will all include consonant digraphs.
Grammar: We will learn about Action Verbs.
Science: We will continue to talk about all different kinds of plants and how they adapt to their environment.
Social Studies: We will complete Chapter 1 and have a Chapter 1 Test on Wednesday.
