Welcome to Mrs. Flomer’s class notes!
Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week!
Spelling-The spelling test for lesson 6 (which we started last week) will be on Tuesday (11/4) of this week. We will then begin lesson 7 and the words will be: in, will, did, sit, six, big. The vocabulary (“R” book) words are: animal, of, how, some, make, why. The children will write their 10 words 3x each by Friday. The Vocabulary words from their “R” book count as part of their Spelling test. There will be a Spelling test on lesson 7 NEXT Thursday (11/13).
Phonics- words with short i; r blends; -ip words
Language Arts- commas
Reading: We will read the story How Animals Communicate on Wednesday. The children will read it again at home. There will be a Reading test on lesson 7 NEXT Thursday (11/13).
Math- Chapter 4: adding to subtract; using 10 to subtract; break apart to subtract
Religion- Daily devotions and Bible stories from religion book 2
Science- Habitats
Social Studies- Unit 2- communities
Weekly Reader- Bats

Our Star of the Week is Julia!
Tuesday is the last day of the 1st quarter of the school year! I have been evaluating the children in many areas this past week. Report cards will go home next week.
We had fun at our Fall Pumpkin Party last Friday. Thank you to our class moms for organizing it and to those who sent in goodies!
There is no school for the children on Friday. The teachers will be attending a professional conference at LuHi.
There is no school next Tuesday (11/11) in observance of Veterans Day.
October morning work folders went home.
Please ask your child if they are in need of any school supplies (pencils, glue, etc.) and send them in as soon as possible.
Please remember to check your child’s folder each night and remove the papers.
No pizza envelopes this week!
