Class News:

Our new “Star of the Week” is Zaire! We can’t wait to learn about him and he’s looking forward to all the fun privileges!

Have a great week, and feel free to email me any time with questions or concerns: [email protected]

REMINDERS:

  1.      Encourage your child to READ every night to strengthen their skills. Don’t forget you can have them read all different things – the back of a cereal box, a favorite book, a magazine, a comic book, a card, posters. Everything counts as practice!
  2. The “R” book words will now be included on the weekly spelling tests. Please be sure your child is practicing those words daily at home.
  3. In order to help your child in math, it would be helpful to practice the basic addition facts daily, especially the doubles facts. This will help them to work quicker and more accurately.
  4. Every week I will be sending home decodable readers for your child to practice reading at home. It would be beneficial for your child to read them aloud to an adult at home. It will greatly increase their decoding skills, fluency, and oral reading. The decodable readers also go along with the phonics skills we are learning for the week.
