Last week we made bread with The Little Red Hen by Jerry Pinkney and enjoyed it topped with some jam!

This week we are all about pumpkins as we get ready for our pumpkin parties on Friday. Thank you everyone for signing up to bring in goodies to help make our parties a success!

For art we will be making paper bag pumpkins and Jack-O-Lanterns.

Some of the stories we will read include Pumpkin Jack by Will Russell, Pumpkin Pumpkin by Jeanne Titherington, Curious George Goes to a Costume Party by Margaret and H.A. Reys, Pumpkin Countdown by Joan Holub.

We will also be learning about our skeletons, making a skeleton picture and reading a very silly story called Skeleton Hicups by Margery Cuyler.

When we visited the library this week, Mrs. Heigl read us a book called The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything by Linda D. Williams and we had to clap and wiggle along with the story!

For religion this week we are learning about how God protects the ones he loves by reading about baby Moses.  We are also learning about God’s almighty power by reading about Joshua and Jericho.

Have a blessed week everyone!
