Students were given a small pumpkin with the assignment of decorating it to be the head of someone they admire. We spoke of the meaning of the word admire and how as Christians we should look to admire those who strive to have Christ in their lives. Students are to write 5 clues telling about their person and we will be guessing who they chose on 10/31. Project is due:10/31. This will be graded as a Bible quiz.

We are collecting blankets for the food pantry until 10/31.

October book review due:10/31

This week I have been thinking about this verse:

And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely my brothers and sisters, this is not right! James 3:10

It reminded me of our Bible verse, Proverbs 17:9. Both verses talk about how our mouths can cause trouble and encourage us to focus on what others are doing right and forgiveness, rather than getting stuck on what they may have done to us. Speaking goodness into the lives of others isn’t easy at times. When I struggle , I try to remember that God is hearing each word I say, as well as those thoughts that go unsaid. This  assists me in keeping my focus on the positive. I hope this encourages you in some small way.

Have a great week!!
