REMINDERS:
- Please be sure that your child has plenty of pencils in school, for many children seem to use them (or lose them) quickly. It would be helpful if you could put his/her name or initials on each pencil.
- Please remember that your child will bring home their “R” book every Monday. Inside you will find the high frequency words for that week. It is important that the children practice reading those words and using and reading them in a sentence. This will help with their reading fluency.
- I am asking all parents to email me when you first view my weekly blog on Trinity’s website so that I know you can access it and are reading it each week. I will be updating it every Monday.
- Encourage your child to READ every night to strengthen their skills. Don’t forget you can have them read all different things – the back of a cereal box, a favorite book, a magazine, a comic book, a card, posters. Everything counts as practice!
- Monday, Oct 20th is picture day! This a uniform picture, so please be sure to make sure your child wears his/her uniform that day.
- The “R” book words will now be included on the weekly spelling tests. Please be sure your child is practicing those words daily at home.
