READING- Our main topic is the importance of following school rules. We will discover the answers through reading, “How Do Dinosaurs Go To School?” “We go to School,” “I Like,” and “Show And Tell.”  We’ll review the words “I” and “Like,” discuss how to pause when we see a period, talk about how to use pictures to discover the author’s purpose, identify nouns as naming a person or place, and continue with letter recognition Aa-Qq.

MATH- We have completed Chapter 1 in our Math book and we’ll have a test on WEDNESDAY, 10/8. Papers were sent home today to help your child review the concepts learned.

RELIGION- Our Bible story is Noah’s Ark.

SCIENCE- We will discuss living and non-living things.

SOCIAL STUDIES- Christopher Columbus is our topic this week.

HANDWRITING- We will continue with backward circles.

JOURNAL- The pumpkin farm was fun.
