This week in the nursery classes we are:
Visiting White Post Farms. Unfortunately, Mrs. Evers’ class did not get to go today due to the rain. Her class trip is rescheduled for Monday,10/6. Please meet the teachers at the farm at 9:15 am next Monday. Mrs. Krass’ class will visit on Thursday, 10/1. Let us hope we have nice weather! The students are looking forward to picking pumpkins, taking a hayride, feeding the animals and playing on the outdoor play equipment.
Units of study: We will continue with our color unit. It is BLUE week! We begin our unit on the five senses. This week – taste. We really enjoyed tasting our blueberry muffins!
Jesus Time: Jesus gave me a mouth to taste.
Art: Paint blueberries with our finger . Paint blue at the easel. Finish the I Am Special Book.
Stories: Blueberries for Sal by Robert McCloskey and Blue Balloon by Mike Inkpen.
Science: Weather and seasons, signs of autumn.
Math: Counting our friends and apples/pumpkins on the calendar. Next week we will make a picture graph of the class favorite farm animal.
We are working on recognizing the letters of the alphabet and letter sounds. Ask us about our memory game with letters!
