ELA: Reading: Story: Off and Running.Vocabulary

Writing: complete short stories.Begin narrative with dialogue.

Grammar: Complete subjects and predicates, subject and verb agreement, compound sentences.

Bible: October’s character education word is friendship. We are reading The Chalk Box Kid. It’s a short book about making friends and being sensitive to those around you. We are discussing describing words for the Lord. Next verse test: 10/8 Matthew 6.33

This week on the radio I heard this: 

“If you were too busy to pray today, you are busier than God intended you to be.”

I have been at that point of praying and almost falling asleep or being so focused on the many other things I need to be doing that I don’t even realize what I am actually praying. There are days prayer hardly gets  squeezed in.  This quote was a good reminder to me about what was important. The business of my life is important but God is so much more so. I am  determined to pray (focus and really pray) every day.  Our theme for the year is to put God first in every area of life. Making prayer a priority is an important step in this. I hope this encourages you in some small way…
