We are winding down the school year, and testing the children in most subject areas. They have accomplished so much this year!
Spelling– We have finished our Spelling books! I will be reviewing the words that we have learned, and giving them a test of 25 of the words next Thursday (6/12). They can keep their “S” books home.
Phonics– contractions
Language Arts– test Friday on Unit 4-review sheets sent home
Reading: We have finished our Reading series! There will be an End of Year test next Wednesday (6/11). Children should review the “R” book words. They can keep that book home. If you are not a Hicksville resident, I will start sending home the Reading books for you to return to your school district.
Math– adding 2 digit numbers
Social Studies-Test on Unit 5 Wednesday- book was sent home last week
Science– review for test on chapter 8 (6/10)

We are looking forward to our trip to the planetarium on Tuesday! We will have a picnic there after the show! Send a lunch to school with your child. It is a dress down day.

Friday 6/13: Picnic at Cantiague Park- Meet there at 10:00 with lunch
