Hello, everyone! Moms, I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day. This week at Trinity is rather busy, so here’s what’s going on in my classes:
8th Social Studies
This week we are wrapping up our study of the Great Depression. We will be looking at the legacy of the New Deal, and how those programs have continued to impact our nation. The tentative date for the test on Chapter 23 will be next Wednesday, May 21st. The study guide may be found here.
7th Social Studies
Seventh Grade is finishing Chapter 9 today as we look at the end of the War of 1812. The chapter test will be this Friday, May 16th. Study guides will go home tomorrow, and I am available for extra help on Thursday and Friday mornings before school.The study guide can be found here.
8AA Religion
This week we are continuing to look at the book of 1 Kings. We will study Elijah’s experience as a prophet to Israel, and then the fall of Israel. The recurring theme within the lessons in this unit, is that we need to trust God and follow HIS will above all. The Memory Verse for this week is Isaiah 41:10, which is one of my favorite scriptures from the Old Testament.
