6th-This week the sixth grade will focus on los cubiertos (cutlery) as well learn useful expressions that relate to food and the kitchen. The students will learn how to set the table in Spanish and learn to sing and dance the song,Yo soy una taza. Students will have a quiz on this vocabulary on Friday May 2. Extra help will be Thursday morning at 7:45am.

7-The seventh grade is finishing up their unit on the family and house. They have learned the various familiar relationships that exist and are now focusing on the parts of the house and expressions. Two expressions the seventh grade will learn are: tener+que and ir+a+ infinitive. One expression is used to indicate something one must do while the other demonstrates what one will do.

8-The eighth grade has entered the “viaje en avión” unit. This unit is focuses on travel by a airplane. Students will be able to identify parts of an airport, people, and objects associated with travel. Next week the will explore more vocabulary and expressions useful for travel. This week students also completed a closeline activity where they listened to the song Corazón en maleta by Luis Fonsi.
