8th Social Studies

This week we are starting a new chapter on the Great Depression. We touched on the causes of the economic downturn at the end of our study on the 1920s, but we will explore how the Depression affected the lives of Americans, as well as the long term affects around the world.

7th Social Studies

Seventh grade will begin studying the presidency of Thomas Jefferson. We will explore his early life, and how his actions as President impacted the nation. We will especially focus on the Louisiana Purchase and the Lewis and Clark expedition.

8AA Religion

This week in Religion, 8AA will begin looking at the book of I Kings. We will begin with Solomon building the temple and will continue with Rehoboam and Jeroboam. The memory verse for this week is 1 Peter 2:5, which can be found on page 75 of the student book.

Have a blessed week!
