READING- This week we will focus on beginning “l” and “u” and medial “u” sounds, positional terms “up” and “down,” our high frequency word, “go,” identifying the main idea of a picture/story, and read the mini book, Go, Lad GO.

MATH– We will learn numbers 1-10 in descending order, with a focus on the concept of 1 less

RELIGION- The miracles of Jesus will be discussed this week.

SCIENCE- SOCIAL STUDIES/SCHOLASTIC MAGAZINE- We will continue to discuss aspects of living and non-living things.

HANDWRITING- Capital and lower case “L-l” and “U-u” will be practiced this week.

JOURNAL- We will write the sentence “I can fly my kite!”

REMINDERS:

This week is Read Across America week. We have been reading at special times during the day as the entire school is involved in D.E.A.R. time. We will also meet with our 5th Grade Buddies to read and complete a project related to the story CAPS FOR SALE.

Baby items needed this month are socks, 0-24 mos.
