Happy March everyone! This week both Seventh and Eighth Grades will be finishing their respective chapters, and all four classes will have the end of chapter tests next week. Next Thursday and Friday, the 8th grade will be traveling to Washington, D.C., so please make sure that all forms and permission slips are returned ASAP.

7th Social Studies

This week 7th grade will look at the issues surrounding the ratification of our U.S. Constitution, especially the issue of a Bill of Rights. The students will be studying all of the individual rights guaranteed to U.S. citizens, which are found in the first ten amendments to the Constitution. As I stated above, both classes will have a test on Chapter 7 next week. I will post a link to the study guide later this week.

8th Social Studies

This week the 8th grade will continue to study World War I, primarily focusing on U.S. involvement. We will finish by looking at President Wilson’s ideas for the peace treaty. Eighth grade will also have a test next week, on Chapter 21. I will post a link for the study guide toward the end of this week.

8AA Religion

This week the students will finish presenting their career projects. The students who have presented have done a wonderful job. I am so pleased to see how each of them have identified ways to serve God in a wide variety of professions. I truly hope and pray that each student fulfills their ambitions. In other news, the memory verse for this week is Philippians 2:13, which can be found on page 59 of the student book. When the presentations have concluded we will be studying Old Testament heroes Samson and Ruth.

Have a blessed week!
