Our student teacher, Miss Reis, was out last week and will be out part of this week due to the passing away of her father. This has delayed a few Edward Tulane activities. Our thoughts and prayers are with her. The students have missed her and have expressed concern and compassion for her. I am reminded of Ecclesiastes 3:1:

For everything there is a season, and a time for everything under heaven:

a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to luck up what is planted;

a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to tear, and a time to sew;

a time to keep silent, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.

As a Christian, I was taught that God is in control and I need to trust Him with my daily life. In my experience, this is easier said than done. My human side wants to be in charge and questions God along the way when things get messy or aren’t quite what I had in my mind. This verse helps me relax and give God back my faith that He has everything under control…all I have to do is trust Him and His mighty words.  I hope this verse reminds you that God does have a season for everything and that He truly is in control.

Thanks for all you do for your children and for Trinity!!! Have a safe, warm week!!                 Mrs. Lively
