Hello, all! I hope everyone had an enjoyable and safe weekend. Here is the run-down for the week:

8th Social Studies

Eighth grade has started to study U.S. intervention into foreign affairs. This week we will be focusing on the causes and long-term effects of the Spanish-American War. We will also begin studying the beginning of U.S. relations with Latin American countries.

7th Social Studies

Seventh grade is continuing to study the events of the American Revolution. We will start off by looking at the battles in the middle states, specifically those that took place in New York and New Jersey. Along with the usual assignments and notes, we have also been viewing select episodes of Liberty’s Kids, an animated series that gives an excellent (and accurate) depiction of the Revolutionary War. You can check out the episode on the Battle of Long Island here.

8AA Religion

In religion, 8AA is wrapping up their study of the Israelites’ conquest of the Promised Land. There will be a quiz on Unit 2 on Monday, February 10th. You may view the study guide here.
